This piece was made by 3D modeling the basic shape and then converting it into a tab and slot system. Then the pieces were laser cut, assembled, and then covered in trash bags and tissue paper. The head portion was made out of a paper craft face that then was also covered in a similar manner. For this project it needed to be over 5 feet tall.
I wanted to make a sculpture that you could physically sit under. The idea of something forcing you to sit beneath it in order to rest while being slightly uncomfortable by it looming over you.
