I wanted to anthropomorphize losing your memories of childhood. Your inability to remember much of it at all so you can only see glimpses. It feels as though something is feeding off of them. This piece was done on top of a childhood drawing that I never got around to painting because I forgot about it up until recently.
This piece was done by layering spackle to build up the shape and then layers of acrylic washes to create the color. Finally finished with with a gloss coat so it is always shiny.
